Time Machine

'What is this?' people ask me when they see it for the first time. 'Time Machine' i answer.

I have used parts from at least 3 broken time-pieces for this. Almost all parts are used here. Other stuff on board include Gel Pen Tips, Spring, LED Light, parts of syringe etc. After a long service as paper weight for me, this was recently disassembled. So now Time Machine only exists in this photograph.

Darkman II

After spending the whole day doing nothing (except watching stupid movies or sleeping), i decided to doodle again. Here is my today's doodle. Original Darkman is here..

Captain Smoke

Yesterday i was thinking of putting the sketch-a-day program into action and for that downloaded some pics from google for reference. Since the only drawing instruments i have now are the Gel Pens, decided to make a quick doodle of the pic (pencil sketches take too long anyway and i have neither the time nor the patience).

Another Self Portrait

If there is one resemblance between me and Van Gogh, that will be the habit of doing a lot of self portraits (though am not as successful in my efforts as he was). So here is my latest attempt. This is more of a doodle than a sketch. I was just browsing through some of the photos and then i saw a peculiar one (like this). So i just took a paper and doodled it; A quick work with pen.

Symmetry- A Light Sketch

For the past few months i have been travelling across India as part of my job. So, i was unable to spend some quality time with 'sketching'. I still have an unfinished sketch back at my home. Anyways, the other day, me and my brother were playing with the camera and then it hit me! Why not make a sketch using a flashlight?? (like the one in that ad).

During the summer vacation of 1999, i did these 'symmetry' drawings as part of my 'official' art class. So i thought, for this experiment, i will do a 'Symmetry'.  I used 2 small flashlights for this one; one for each half.

Drawing in air in total darkness is not an easy thing. Still have a long way to go in this medium. Although its not as perfect as the one in paper, am pretty happy with the end result.
